Jobseekers landing page
Warning
As a first note, the whole section is written from a perspective of a EURES worker. It does not at all reflect what a first-time visitor knows about EURES services.
The opportunity to chat with an EURES adviser is a valuable, potentially life-changing service, yet we do not explain who an EURES adviser is, what are his competencies and that this service is free for EU citizens.
Even the word "jobseeker" itself is misleading - no one identifies themselves (therefore, searches for) as a jobseeker.
Find a Job in Europe
- The whole page looks like a "landing page" and is rather hollow/empty - this is not ideal and more content should be added.
- Rewrite the page as a genuine introductory guide, not a navigation page. Cover: what EURES is, who it is for, what rights EU citizens have to work abroad, and what the next steps are.
- Heading: Change

Jobseekers
to something like
Find a Job in Europe | Free Support for EU Citizens
- The job search feature itself is on
europa.eu/euresdomain while the rest of the EURES portal is oneures.europa.eu. This should be fixed. - In the "Get support to find a job" section, only one icon (Build a CV with Europass) includes more text. Add some text for each icon.
- The picture's current
jobs in europe_european job mobility portal_european labour authorityalt-text could be improved.
Hints and tips for jobseekers
- The texts feel like "placeholders" and should have more information value. The page is a promising concept but currently functions as a blog news feed, not a resource centre.
- Add more structured content directly on this page — not just a list of links to articles. For example: a brief step-by-step job search guide (5–7 steps), a summary of the most important things to know before applying for a job in another EU country, or a quick-reference checklist.
- Add a dedicated FAQ section at the bottom of the page with at least 8–10 questions.
- The link to Europass should open in a new window.
Create your Europass
- The critical link between Europass and the EURES job portal — that your Europass CV is what makes you visible to the 5,000+ employers on EURES — is barely mentioned and buried in the body text.
- This section should be rewritten in the question and answer format = "Why should I create a Europass profile?"
- There are no images of what a Europass CV or profile actually looks like. Include a screenshot of a CV created from Europass.
New section: SEO content ("Guides" or "Resources")
An SEO-optimised content library — with evergreen guides, country pages, and comparison articles — would capture more visitors based on the EURES domain authority.
